The Gypsy

On the highway of my life
I came across a lot of wives.

On the highway to heaven,
I did the deeds to please hell.

On this never ending road,
Did you see me there?

As we walk through this shade, so slow,
Did you need me there?

As you look above your soul,
And your tiny tiny door,

This huge world survives.
Oh so bigger than our lives.

On the highway of my life
I realised
You were never inside, by my side.

On this highway lay small shops,
On this highway lay petrol flops,
On this highway lay a drunken man,
On this highway, the vast vast land.

And I traveled through this land.
This long strech of time.
Through the concrete and the sand.
Through the miserries and the joys.

I found myself all alone.
I left, my love behind.
Like the trees and the sun,
They just came in all size.
I grabbed the wind unsung,
And moved ahead tonight.
