Dilli ki galiyo mein main chalti chali
Rikshe ke kandho ka sahara le
Ittak Uttak nazre ghuma
inn nazaaro ko ganne jaise choosti chali
Dheemi dheemi chalti gaadi
peeche se horn bajati hai
Par kya kare, riksha bhaiya bhi toh aadmi hai!

Nazuk, par majboot pairo par
Tiki roti saari hai
Maathe se paseena tapke
Sawari chalte jaani hai
Ma, bhain ki gaali deta
Bigre hue baap ka bigra hua beta
Mere rikshe waale ko dhamki deta
Par kya kare ye mamuli bechara
Ek kapda, Riksha-makaan
Beti, biwi, gaon ke pehchan
Bori bistra pasaare aa gaya dilli mein paise kamane
Zindagi ka maara.
Teen pahiye, do pairo se din guzara
Kya paya isne, aur kya khoya
Ummeed aur nischaya par tike, mera rikshe waala
Raaton na soya
Raaton na soya.
